White Elephant Resorts is now accepting applications for the position of Managing Director of White Elephant Aspen. This position is ultimately responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of this luxury hotel to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service, while meeting/exceeding established financial goals.
White Elephant Aspen will be a 54-key newly constructed, luxury boutique resort located in heart of downtown Aspen, Colorado.
This family of resorts includes White Elephant Nantucket, White Elephant Palm Beach, and White Elephant Aspen, coming soon in 2025. In addition, the collection includes the newly renovated The Cottages at Nantucket Boat Basin and Nantucket Boat Basin marina, both located on Nantucket’s harbor, downtown Jared Coffin House, and The Wauwinet, recently named by Travel + Leisure's Top 500 Best Hotels in the World.
Tasked with the responsibility for both short and long-term planning, as well as managing day-to-day operations, the right candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as General Manager/Managing Director or 8 + years in a Senior Management role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
Other important aspects of this position include the ability to:
• Maximize revenues and motivate employees to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests.
• Implement company programs and supervise the daily operations of hotel to comply with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental regulations, and all other Federal, State and local laws and regulations to limit liabilities.
• Manage the financial success of the property.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments throughout the company.
Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor.
