  • Position Summary
    • The Nutrition Services Supervisor is responsible for, with the direction and supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager, developing and implementing goals and objectives of the assigned area; coordinating activities; providing direct and indirect supervision of all nutrition employees; providing for continuing in-service education; assuring maintenance of equipment and maintaining environmental sanitation and adherence to safety measures for employees and machinery; providing quality food services. To insure timely flow of patient meals, cafeteria meals and production schedules. Maintains food inventory levels; prepares reports; serves as a resource for special requirements in nutrition services.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education
      • High school degree or equivalent required. Some college preferred or training in management skills.
    • Credentials
      • State Required: none
      • GPH required: ServSafe Manager Certification or ability to be certified within 90 days of hire
  • Physical Demands
    • Stand and/or walk frequently.
    • Sit frequently.
    • Lift up to 20# occasionally.
    • Carry 20# up to 200 feet occasionally.
    • Bend and reach to mid level occasionally.
    • Visual acuity, color vision, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination occasionally.
  • Essential Functions
    • Production and Preparations for line service, cashiering, order taking, catering, delivery and setup for events.
    • Food Ordering
    • Menu development, recipe development, operation of software programming related to menu, recipe, and nutrient value.
    • Maintain production, temp, waste logs.
    • Maintain the department operates within food safety code and industry regulations.
    • Responsible for completing orientations, training and development required of staff.
